KriGen Pharmaceuticals has selected Harnett County for its first U.S. manufacturing facility.
The company will invest $7 million to build new 55,000-sq.-ft. state-of-the-art plant in Lillington. The investment by the privately held Indian company will create 100 jobs.
KriGen will manufacture medical IV bags and liquid injectables in the new plant. The company aims to improve quality of life for patients with affordable pharmaceutical solutions and services through innovation and technology.
The North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of N.C. helped the company in making the decision to expand to the state.
