CVS Caremark Construction and Facilities Maintenance Business Building Event to be held next month

On Sept. 4, general contractors and subcontractors in the Charlotte area will have the chance to learn about construction and maintenance opportunities with CVS/pharmacy.

The event is being supported by the Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (HCAC) and United Minority Contractors of North Carolina (UMCNC).

In the upcoming months, CVS/pharmacy will be looking for general contractors and subcontractors to conduct a wide variety of work, including  new store construction, remodeling and resets, as well as roof repairs and maintenance,  glass repairs, parking lot paving, automatic door maintenance, and HVAC and plumbing projects. The company will also be looking for contractors that offer inspection services for items such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting. The event, which will connect local contractors with representatives from CVS/pharmacy, will include presentations by Julian Arcila, Executive Director at HCAC, Gloria Shealey, NAMC President, James Clayton, UMCNC Board Member, and Raul Suarez-Rodriguez, supplier diversity manager for CVS Caremark.

The event will be held Sept. 4, 2014, at McColl Center for Visual Art in Charlotte, NC.
