The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas has announced that the endorsement of Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) for re-election to the U.S. Senate.
“Senator Burr has demonstrated the commitment to free enterprise and leadership in Washington that we know will create the best environment for North Carolina’s construction industry to continue to grow and create high-paying jobs in our communities,” said Doug Carlson, president and CEO of ABC of the Carolinas.
ABC Carolinas chair Eric Perkinson, vice-president of Brasfield and Gorrie in Raleigh, added, “Senator Burr has the right priorities and the best vision to continue North Carolina’s growth into the future.”
“Senator Burr has been a champion for open competition and free enterprise throughout his time in Washington as demonstrated by his 100 percent voting record on key ABC issues,” said Chris Bullard, director of government affairs for ABC of the Carolinas. “His policies and initiatives at the federal level, have helped to rebuild North Carolina’s economy, lower unemployment and address the critical shortage of skilled workers facing many companies today.”
The association’s endorsement came during the group’s October board meeting in Charlotte. ABC Carolinas says Senator Burr has reiterated his commitment to free enterprise throughout his 2016 re-election campaign.
