After reviewing dozens of candidates, the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Carolinas chapter has selected Amy Sullivan Hicks as its new president and CEO.
Sullivan had been “an active ABC representative of a member firm” as director of business development at ECS Limited.
“Master networker, connector, relationship builder, value creator, contagious energy! This is how our industry experiences Amy first-hand,” the ABC Carolinas announcement said.
She took the organization’s helm on May 4.
Hicks has been engaged with the construction and development industry for two decades, the statement says, and been actively involved with ABC Carolinas Chapter since 2012.
“Her prior experience and leadership in other professional organizations includes being one of the founders of CarolinaBUILT (and serving on their Executive Board), serving on the Board for NAIOP, and serving on the Executive Board for Mecklenburg County Council Boy Scouts of America (currently as Vice President of Marketing and Communications). Amy was named the Charlotte Regional Commercial Board of Realtors’ 2013 Corporate Associate of the Year and she was nominated as one of the Mecklenburg Times 50 Most Influential Women, Class of 2016.
“I believe that in order to be successful you must be authentic in how you interact with people,” she said Finding ways to connect people and opportunities personally and professionally is what motivates me every day.”
