ABC of the Carolinas student chapter wins top award

Western Carolina University-ABC Student Chapter named the National Student Chapter of the Year

The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) announced the Carolinas showcased excellence in every aspect of construction at the National Craft Championships and the National Student Chapter competitions in San Antonio, TX this past week.

Western Carolina University-ABC Student Chapter was recognized as the National Student Chapter of the Year for outstanding achievement and performance. Clemson University-ABC Student Chapter placed 3rd in the nation in the Project Management and Scheduling division at the ABC National Student Chapter competition.

Mark Wolschleger an apprentice with Watson Electrical won the Electrical competition at the ABC National Craft Championships.

“The Future of Construction was on display in San Antonio and the Carolinas represented excellence in the industry,” said Doug Carlson, ABC President & CEO.  “It is amazing to see the various competitions with competitors from across the country.   I am proud to see the Carolinas so well represented.”
