UNX-Christeyns, a chemical manufacturer specializing in cleaning products, will invest $10.5 million in relocating and expanding its operations within Greenville, Pitt County.

The company has been operating in North Carolina for about 65 years, manufacturing chemicals for industries including hospitality and athletic organizations. The company’s new facility, a 70,000-sq. ft. complex at the former Karastan Mills plant, 211 Staton Rd., will house its administrative, engineering, manufacturing, and warehousing functions.

“This expansion not only generates new jobs but also allows us to develop a cutting-edge manufacturing facility,” said Josh Lilley, UNX-Christeyns CEO. “This will enable us to deliver innovative and sustainable cleaning solutions to our customers.”

A performance-based grant of $40,000 has been approved by the One North Carolina Fund.
