SMPS Research Triangle presents: The Integrated Project Delivery Methodology: A Panel of Perspectives


The Research Triangle chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) has scheduled a panel discussion about Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) for Tuesday, April 11.

“IPD is a collaborative, trust-based project delivery arrangement involving the project owner, architect, engineers, general contractor, and trade partners,” the program announcement says. “IPD encourages breaking down the traditional silos built between team members and creating an environment for teams to share risk and reward. SMPS Research Triangle has rounded up an all-star panel representing each interest in the IPD framework to provide their perspectives on the success of IPD, its popularity in the region, challenges in its implementation, and their thoughts on the future of IPD and lean construction in the A/E/C industry.”

Holt Brothers Construction president Terrence Holt will moderate the discussion between at the PNC Arena between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Panelists include: Katie Wells, director of lean construction, Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC; Christian Pikel, assistant director in design and construction, UHS of Delaware, Inc.; and Mark Spies, principal, Stengel Hill Architecture.
