Pitt-Greenville Airport has started construction on fixing its main runway.
The $10-million project is designed to fix the surface and drainage on the runway, according to a report from WNCT.
“Well our primary runway is 27 years old and is in need of a resurfacing,” said Betty Stansbury, executive director of Pitt-Greenville Airport. “So we are good to be closing it 30 days to remove and replace the runway.”
