The 2013 U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) North Carolina Natural Talent Design Competition provides an applied learning experience in the principles of integrated design, sustainability, innovation, and social consciousness, all of which are components of the LEED® Green Building Rating System™.  Tomorrow’s green  design innovators are today’s students and young professionals throughout the country.

The  USGBC North Carolina Chapter’s Natural Talent Design Competition calls  on those leaders to share their design ideas for projects that better their  communities and raise the bar in green building and development.  Judging will occur and awards will be given at a day-long event at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh,  on Saturday, April 20, 2013.

The Triangle Branch of the North Carolina Chapter, the Competition Host, will provide any state-wide awards as well as a stipend for the winning team to support travel and registration to Greenbuild 2013, USGBC’s Annual Green Building Conference and Expo, to be held in Philadelphia, PA, November 20-22, 2013.

The 2013 USGBC NC Natural Talent Design Competition will address sustainability, green building and community engagement issues through partner client for the program, the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Registration required by March 22.  Read More.
