Road builders can transform on-site materials, including demolition waste, into a “precious resource” for sub-base applications using a line of specialized attachments, according to a press release from MB Crusher.

The company’s attachments, such as the BF crusher bucket and MB-S screening bucket, are designed to help contractors “boost productivity, cut costs, and help you get the job done – efficiently and sustainably.”

The equipment mounts on common carrier machines, including excavators, backhoes, and loaders, to process material available at the worksite.

“No matter where you are, one thing stays the same: every road needs a strong, compact, and stable base,” the company stated. “Our mission never changes: start with what you already have, make it more efficient, and build smarter.”

The release cited two international case studies as examples of the equipment’s application.

In the United Kingdom, Jenkins Recycling used an MB-S14 screening bucket on a JCB 130 to process recycled crusher run. The result was “Type 1 recycled aggregate, screened down to 40mm to dust,” which the company described as a “uniform, compactable material” suitable for driveways, car parks, and high-traffic areas.

In Moldova, a contractor used a BF80.3 crusher bucket mounted on a CAT 320 GC to crush demolition waste on-site for immediate reuse as a road sub-base.

According to the release, this eliminated the need to pay “around €90 per 283 cubic feet” to haul waste to a landfill and to purchase new crushed material at “€5 per ton.” The company said the client was able to “save significantly on logistics, material costs, and time” and become “completely independent.”

MB Crusher stated that its goal is to help contractors “do more with what you’ve already got.”

“Our tools allow contractors to turn waste into a resource, streamline their processes, and build roads that last – no matter the location,” the release concluded.
