Granville County considers granting $158,250 to facility expansion creating 20 jobs

The Granville County Board of Commissioners is considering whether to provide a local company with $158,250 in aid for a facility expansion that is expected to create 20 new jobs.

Triangle Business Journal reports that the county cannot disclose the company’s name due to a non-disclosure agreement.

But Harry Mills, economic development director for Granville County, says the grant would allow the company to move ahead with the renovation and expansion of an existing manufacturing facility in Granville County to manufacture a new product line.

The company intends to spend $5.75 million on the project over the next five years.
