Raleigh-based David Allen Company announced recently that it has been named an Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC).
Launched in 1993, ABC’s website says the program “publicly recognizes and honors those construction firms which have documented their commitment in five key areas of corporate responsibility.” These include quality, safety, employee benefits, training, and community relations and diversity. Companies must achieve STEP (Safety Training Evaluation Process) Gold, Platinum or Diamond Level to qualify.
A media release announcing the accreditation quotes 2016 ABC national chair David Chapin as saying: “David Allen Company’s dedication to responsibly and ethically running its business permeates through every facet of its operation and makes it a terrific ambassador for the merit shop construction community.”
Founded in 1920 by master craftsman David Allen, the company has grown to be one of the nation’s largest tile, marble, granite, terrazzo, and specialty concrete services companies. Headquartered in Raleigh, the company also has offices in Washington, South Florida, Columbia and Birmingham.
