BuildLabs, a construction-technology firm formerly based on Long Island, New York, is relocating its headquarters to Nashville, North Carolina, building an 80,000-sq. ft. tech campus. The company plans to officially break ground Oct. 1, 2025.

The new campus, located at 101 Industry Court in the Nashville Business Center, will combine a precision-engineering facility with modern office space, an on-site café, and a coworking hub. BuildLabs expects to hire approximately two dozen full-time employees in its first year, with plans for future expansion to deepen its presence in the region.

“Our new headquarters will deliver positive impact to the region,” said Anjali Gupta, cofounder and executive director at BuildLabs. “It will be a local cultural institution, an architectural oasis, a botanical garden rich in biodiversity, a leader in sustainability and job creation. Most of all, it will be an exciting destination for people of all ages to enjoy—right in the heart of Nash County.”

The facility is designed to serve as more than just a workplace. It will act as a multi-purpose community hub featuring a tech-forward coworking space, a study hall for college students in partnership with Nash Community College and other institutions, and an event venue showcasing sustainable construction methods.

Punit Chugh, cofounder and operations director at BuildLabs, said the company selected Nash County for its growing economy and proximity to the Research Triangle’s academic pipeline. “We thank the leaders from Nash County, the Town of Nashville, and the Nash County Economic Development staff for supporting our vision to transform construction in America,” Chugh said. “This is a strong public-private collaboration designed to revitalize the local economy.”

County commissioners and the Town of Nashville approved a 50% tax incentive over five years in August 2024 to support the project.

The Oct. 1 groundbreaking ceremony will include tours of the construction site and refreshments sourced from prospective local food partners.
