Metrolina Builders, the general contractor overseeing the construction of the future Everbrook Academy in Harrisburg, confirmed that no workers were injured after a two-alarm fire broke out at the site Monday morning. The fire, reported at 10:27 a.m. on May 19, drew a large emergency response from more than 60 firefighters with the Town of Harrisburg, Concord, and Charlotte Fire Departments. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke and active flames at the Farmington-area construction site.

The intense heat caused moderate damage to Harrisburg Fire Engine 32, though no injuries to firefighters or construction workers were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities said further updates will be released as more information becomes available.
