Construction has started on The Strand, a 20-story mixed-use tower in Raleigh’s North Hills district. The project is being developed by Kane Realty Corporation in partnership with Mitsui Fudosan America.

The building will include 362 residential units and about 9,000 square feet of retail space. It is located next to the Advance Auto Parts Tower and is scheduled to open to residents in the summer of 2027. Plans include wide sidewalks, a designated drop-off area, and a parking deck intended to support retail use. A second phase of development is also being planned for the site.

The development team includes architecture firm Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio, general contractor Balfour Beatty and civil engineering firm McAdams.

“As Raleigh continues to grow, demand for high-quality housing remains strong—especially in North Hills,” said Rob Reid, Managing Director of Residential at Kane Realty Corporation. “The Strand will provide a distinctive residential experience that blends modern luxury, top-tier amenities, and seamless connectivity to everything North Hills offers.”

Located next to the Advance Auto Parts Tower, The Strand will include 362 residential units—some of them penthouses—and nearly 9,000 square feet of retail space at street level. Plans for the building include wide sidewalks, a designated drop-off and ride-share area, and a parking deck to support retail access.
