Clemson University has announced the first annual Construction Industry Symposium sponsored by the University’s Department of Construction Science and Management this fall.
“This inaugural one-day event, themed The Ever Changing World of Construction: Today’s Challenges, Tomorrow’s Opportunities, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at Le Méridien Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina,” chair Robert W. Liska wrote in a letter to industry associations and leaders. “National and regional industry leaders, serving as keynote speakers and panelists, will lead an interactive exchange of information focused on the issues impacting our industry today and in the future.”
“We hope to draw a cross section of attendees from across our region—general contractors, construction managers, specialty contractors, banks, bonding agents, insurance firms, vendors, and other construction industry service providers,” he wrote. “Clients and prospective clients (i.e., owners) may also find it worthwhile.”
