ABC of the Carolinas to open a new education and training facility

The Carolinas Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) announced a major step forward in the chapter’s workforce development efforts.  ABC announced the purchase of a new education and training facility.

“The new education and training facility is a key focal point of ABC’s Strategic Initiative to train America’s workforce and to bring young people into the industry,” said Doug Carlson, ABC President.  “ABC is expanding to meet the needs of the construction industry.”

The new education and training facility expands on the footprint of the existing facility, growing from 10,000 sq. ft. to over 27,000 sq. ft.  The new facility is located at610 Minuet Lane and is conveniently located just off I-77 and Tyvola Road  in Charlotte

Management education training, safety classes, crane certification, core classes, task training, continuing education, assessment testing and more could begin as early as November in the new facility.  The second semester of the apprenticeship training classes will start in the new facility in January, 2013.
