Huntersville officials joined NASCAR driver Joey Logano this week to break ground on Town1, a major mixed-use development planned off Hambright Road near Interstate 77.The project, backed by Logano and development partners, is described as a modern master-planned community that will bring housing, offices, retail and community amenities to one of the town’s fastest-growing corridors.

With 75,000 sq. ft. of retail and commercial space organized around a pedestrian-focused village, Town1 includes a five-story Class A office building, located at the I-77 HOV exit, will act as a gateway into Huntersville for daily commuters.

The site also features multiple residential options, including 300 modern farmhouse walk-up units, 321 urban flats and 75 townhomes. In total, the project will deliver more than 400,000 square feet of commercial space, with flex buildings, warehouse condominiums and storage facilities designed to offer accessible space for small businesses.

When the plan was first approved, Huntersville officials praised its modern design approach and its alignment with long-term growth goals.

Additionally, the Charlotte Area Transit System plans to build a Park and Ride facility across from the development, offering expanded mobility and transit options for area residents.
