Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. is providing electrical installations for Wilson Sports and Entertainment (WiSE) Park, a new 102,000-square-foot minor league baseball stadium under construction in Wilson.

The ballpark, which will seat about 4,500 fans, is scheduled to open in April 2026. The Carolina Mudcats, currently a Single-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, will relocate from Zebulon and rebrand as the Wilson Warbirds when the facility opens.

Clancy & Theys Construction Company and Barton Malow Builders, a joint venture between the Raleigh and Charlotte firms, are managing the project. Pendulum of Kansas City, Missouri, is the architect, and Kimley-Horn of Raleigh is serving as the electrical engineer.

Plans for the stadium include two party decks, a center-field main scoreboard and a large Samsung video board along the left-field wall. The venue will meet Major League Baseball’s standards for pitch clocks and player development.

Griffin Electric’s Raleigh-Durham team is responsible for the entire electrical installation, including new fire alarm and two-way communication systems. The company will also install all data and security rough-ins.

Beyond baseball, WiSE Park is expected to host concerts and community events.
