Winston-Salem’s planning and development services department staff will hold five meetings to discuss housing land use – an opportunity for the public to provide input on how to modify the development regulations to expand housing choices in the community. No presentation will be given. Individuals can come anytime during the meeting to provide input on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 26, 5 to 7 p.m., Union Station, 300 S Martin Luther King Jr Dr.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 27, 6 to 8 pm, Tobaccoville Community Center, 4225 Tobaccoville Rd., Tobaccoville
  • Thursday, Aug. 28, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, South Fork Community Center, 4403 Country Club Rd.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 3, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Sedge Garden Community Center, 401 Robbins Rd.
  • Thursday, Sept. 4, 11:30 to 1:30 pm, Central Library, 660 W 5th St.

Sessions are designed to be informal, allowing individuals to drop in and engage in one-on-one conversations with planning staff. The goal is to gather diverse perspectives on how housing regulations can evolve to meet the needs of the community.
