Dewberry says Alex Harwell and Beth Smyre have been promoted to be associates in the firm’s Raleigh office.
Harwell has been with the firm for more than four years and has worked in the industry for nearly 20 with a concentration on healthcare, manufacturing, and industrial plant facilities in utility systems design, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Currently, Harwell is working as a project manager on numerous healthcare-related contracts, including Novant Health facility’s condition assessments and the retrofitting of operating room de-humidification systems.
Meanwhile, Smyre is responsible for overseeing impact analyses, environmental document preparation, and public outreach efforts for southeast transportation projects. Her expertise includes NEPA regulations, public involvement and stakeholder coordination, transportation planning, and coastal engineering.
