Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has hired professional engineer Bill Grant as a senior project manager in the firm’s Charlotte office.

The company says Grant brings 30 years of experience to the industry, 28 of which have been spent working in the Carolinas. He specializes in wastewater collection, transmission, treatment, and residuals management; water treatment and distribution; stormwater management; and private development.

Before joining Dewberry, Grant managed a variety of public and private sector projects from conceptual design through facility commissioning. He was recently involved in a North Carolina public works operations center rehabilitation and expansion, a new 1.5 million gallon elevated tank and associated booster pump station, and oversaw the construction and commissioning of a wastewater plant capable of treating 125,000 gallons per day. He also has experience in South Carolina, where he managed the design of a master drainage basin rehabilitation along the coast.

Grant earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clemson University and is a registered professional engineer in South Carolina, Virginia, and North Carolina. He is a member of the American Water Works Association, the Water Environment Federation, and a former chapter president of the Construction Specifications Institute.
