Construction starts on $440 million Kings Mountain Energy Center

Construction has recently started on the 480 Mw Kings Mountain Energy Center in Cleveland County.

NTE Energy from Saint Augustine, FL has awarded the general contract to Gemma Power Systems from Glastonbury, CT. Gemma, a subsidiary of Argan Incorporated (Rockville, MD), will be responsible for hiring subcontractors.

The $440 million project is expected to create 250 to 350 construction jobs.
