Architects, engineers, contractors and owners are invited to one of six regional Design-Build/Public Private Partnerships educational and networking events sponsored by the Carolinas AGC Foundation, in conjunction with AIA North Carolina, Professional Engineers of North Carolina, United Minority Contractors of North Carolina, and the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina.

A panel of experts will tell you what you need to know about House Bill 857 (Public Contracts / Construction Methods/DP/P3/Prequalification), a new law that took effect September 22, 2013. It authorizes design-build/public-private partnerships on public work, a major change of landscape in alternative delivery methods.

Attendees will be able to network with designers, owners and construction industry leaders in order to expand their business development efforts.  Additionally, Rep. Dean Arp (R-Monroe), an engineer and the chief sponsor of the legislation has been invited to participate.  The format for the each regional session includes a panel discussion and Q&A (4:00 – 5:30 pm) followed by a network reception (5:30 – 7:30 pm). Regional sessions are offered in Charlotte (Oct 9), Raleigh (Oct 23) and Winston-Salem (Oct 30), Click here for more information and to register.
