CPN tours JSNN project in Greensboro

The August CPN membership meeting was held at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN) in Greensboro–a 2012 CPN Star Award winning project (See descripton here.)

Dr. Jim Ryan, JSNN Founding Dean, conducted a tour of the new nanoscience school, a place he described where state-of-the-art learning and research is occurring, sparking innovation and ultimately business growth that benefits the region.

A panel of participating contractors and subcontractors included CPN members Ken Grube, Samet Corporation (contractor), Ralph Stingo, Kirlin Carolinas (mechanical contractor) and Rusty Hoffman, Hoffman & Hoffman (HVAC systems and equipment provider). Grube said the JSNN was a textbook example of the value of using BIM for a collaboration in a complex building project.
